James P. Hermann, DMD
Dr. Hermann completed BS degree in Chemical Engineering at
the University of Rochester in 1978, followed by his DMD degree
in 1982 and Orthodontic Residency in 1984, both at Boston
University in Boston, Massachusetts. He is a member of the
American Dental Association, American Association of
Orthodontists, Northeastern Society of Orthodontists, Seventh
District Dental Society, and Monroe County Dental Society. Dr.
Hermann is a Certified Invisalign® Provider who has been
practicing in the Rochester Area since 1985. His Penfield office
was established in 1988.
Dr. Hermann's practice philosophy is to aim for quality results while providing
a warm, friendly, personalized environment. The office has flexible financial
policies. The doctor says, "Since we are frequently role models for our younger
patients, we take the time to know them, as well as to achieve the technical
results we all desire."
He enjoys daily interaction with patients and parents. "We all like seeing our
patients years later who tell us how many people have complimented them about
their smile." Dr. Hermann's staff is very easy-going. Since his practice
sees a limited number of patients each day, the doctor and staff talk a lot with
their patients and the office is fun and relaxed without running behind.
A native of Boston, Dr. Hermann has lived in Penfield since 1990. He and his wife, Janine, have two grown daughters.
In 1998, Dr. Hermann returned to the University of Rochester and completed a BA in History in 2003
and is presently working towards his Masters in US History, which he expects to earn in 2009.
"It's something fun that I've always wanted to do," he says, "but never had the time when my children were young."
